A New World of Work Series event: “Work/Life Balance”

All Artsci students AND alumni are invited to a New World of Work Series event: “Work/Life Balance”
The New World of Work Series (NWWS) organizing team – Camille (Level 4), Emelia (Level 3), and Noor (Level 2) – is thrilled to share that our last NWWS event of this academic year will be held on Tuesday 1 April 2025 from 1:30PM – 3:00PM in the Arts & Science Program Office (L.R. Wilson Hall, room 3038).
This event will focus on work-life balance and will aim to offer a conversational and informal space where students and alumni can socialize, destress, and learn from each other while promoting work-life balance in their current and future lives/careers. Join us as we explore how to integrate and balance professional and community endeavours, time with family, extracurriculars/hobbies, and other activities.

We are honoured to welcome Arts & Science alumna, Dr. Samantha Nutt, who is the founder of War Child Canada and War Child USA back to campus for this event. Dr. Nutt has been named as one of the 2025 inductees to Canada’s Walk of Fame and is being honoured in the category of Humanitarianism for her work advocating for children and families in war-torn regions around the world. She also continues to be an active and generous member of the Artsci community, including by speaking with Artsci students about her book Damned Nations: Greed, Guns, Armies, & Aid as part of the Common Reading Program. We’re thrilled that Dr. Nutt is able to return to campus once again for this event.
