Pasha Malla is the author of seven books, most recently Kill the Mall, a novel, and the instructor of ARTSSCI 4ST3: Speculative Fictions and Who We Are. His writing has won the Danuta Gleed Literary Award, the Trillium Book Prize, an Arthur Ellis Award and several National Magazine awards. It has also been shortlisted for the Best First Novel Award and the Commonwealth Prize, and longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and the International Dublin Literary Award. Pasha has taught creative writing and supervised graduate students at the University of Toronto, the University of Guelph, Brock University and York University, and he has mentored writers through the Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity, the Toronto Public Library, Diaspora Dialogues and the Writers’ Trust of Canada. The 2021-22 Mabel Pugh Taylor Writer-in-Residence at McMaster University, Pasha lives in the east end of Hamilton with his partner and their relentless dog.
