Appointment of Canadian Co-Chair of the International Joint Commission’s Great Lakes Water Quality Board

Congratulations to Artsci Faculty member Dr. Chris McLaughlin, who was recently appointed Canadian Co-Chair of the International Joint Commission’s Great Lakes Water Quality Board!

As noted on the Board’s website, “the Great Lakes Water Quality Board is the principal advisor to the International Joint Commission under the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. The Board assists the Commission by reviewing and assessing the progress of the governments of Canada and the United States in implementing the Agreement, identifying emerging issues and recommending strategies and approaches for preventing and resolving complex challenges facing the Great Lakes, and providing advice on the role of relevant jurisdictions to implement these strategies and approaches.”
