Artsci’s Dr. Beth Marquis Elected Co-President of ISSOTL
Arts & Science instructor Dr. Beth Marquis has recently been elected Co-President of The International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL). ISSOTL serves faculty members, staff, and students who care about teaching and learning as serious intellectual work. The goal of the Society is to foster inquiry and disseminate findings about what improves and articulates post-secondary learning and teaching.
Since joining Arts & Science in 2012, Dr. Marquis has taught or coordinated a range of classes. In 2016-17, she will be the instructor for ARTSSCI 3B03 / Technology and Society I and part of the team teaching ARTSSCI 1C06 / Inquiry: Global Challenges. She also serves as Course Coordinator for ARTSSCI 3F03 / Experiential Project in Teaching and Learning, and as Associate Director (Research) at the McMaster Institute for Innovation & Excellence in Teaching and Learning (MIIETL).
