Award-Winning Author and Artsci Alum to Speak at Air India Conference

Artsci alum Farzana Doctor has recently been featured by the McMaster Alumni Association in a profile that highlights her literary achievements. Farzana graduated from the Arts & Science program in 1990 and is now an award-winning author and a registered social worker. Her most recent novel, All Inclusive, was named one of the best books of year by the National Post. Farzana credits her years at Mac in helping form her social justice framework. She fondly recollects the Arts & Science Program, which encourages students to think deeply about the world. Farzana will be returning to McMaster for “History, Memory, Grief: A 30th Air India Anniversary Conference.”  She will be reading from All Inclusive, which recalls the tragedy from the perspective of a character who lost a parent in the Air India bombing. The conference will take place on 6-7 May 2016 at McMaster Innovation Park.  More information can be found on the conference website.
