Transfer Applicants

The Admissions Committee welcomes inquiries from all qualified students who are interested in transferring to the Arts & Science Program at McMaster University for September entry.

Transferring Into Arts & Science

All transfer applicants should meet the admission requirements as outlined for high school students.  All transfer applicants must submit the following:

If you are a current McMaster student, please also (in addition to the Supplementary Application) apply directly to the Arts & Science Program by submitting the following 3 items to Shelley Anderson, Academic Program Administrator anderso@mcmaster.ca by 1 February 2025 (11:59pm EST).

  • An official high school transcript
  • Official transcripts of all completed college and/or university work
  • A letter explaining why you would like to transfer to the Arts & Science Program

If you are currently attending another academic institution, you must apply to the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) to the Arts & Science I Program (OUAC Deadline: 15 January 2025). In addition to the documents submitted to OUAC (an official high school transcript and official transcripts of all completed college and/or university work) and the completed Supplementary Application, please submit the following item, by 1 February 2025 (11:59pm EST), to your applicant portal.

  • A letter explaining why you would like to transfer to the Arts & Science Program

Transfer Credit

We will review the completed college and/or university courses of successful transfer applicants in order to grant the appropriate credit.
