Artsci Prof Wins 2019 Professional Freedom and Responsibility Award

Dr. Henry Giroux, who teaches Education Inquiry in the Arts & Science Program, has won the 2019 Professional Freedom and Responsibility Award.
The award, given annually by the Cultural and Critical Studies Division (CCSD) of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), honours writers who exemplify the principles of free expression, inclusivity, and media accountability.
Dr. Giroux joins an illustrious roster of past winners, including Noam Chomsky, Bill Kovach, and others. He will formally receive his award at a conference held in August.
