Dr. Anastasios (Tasos) Papanastasiou, who teaches ARTSSCI 2E03 / Economics: Principles and Policy, studied economics at the University of Guelph (Ph.D.), York University (MA), and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (BA), before joining McMaster’s Department of Economics in 2016 as an Assistant Professor.

Dr. Papanastasiou’s research interests are in Health Economics and Microeconomics. He has supervised undergraduate students at McMaster in interdisciplinary research projects. His work has been published in the Canadian Journal of Economics, the Journal of Mechanism and Institution Design, and Managerial and Decision Economics.
