Team Artsci Strong Contenders in Annual United Way Bus Pull

On Wed. 28 Sept., for the third year in a row, the Arts & Science Program participated in Pull4Mac, a fundraising event for the United Way, which challenges teams of 12 to pull a McMaster shuttle bus for 100 feet through the heart of the McMaster campus. This year, team Arts & Science consisted of Shelley Anderson, Rebecca Bishop and students Benjamin Anthony, Zoe Davidson, Mack Gillies, Clare MacDonald, Griffin Marsh, Kevin Maynard, Dunavan Morris-Janzen, Alison St Pierre, Spencer Williams, and Melanie Yin. They were supported by Artsci faculty, students, and staff, who contributed financially and cheered the team on.
Sixteen teams competed in a very close race: congratulations to the Artsci team, whose time of 15.48 seconds put them in second place, just a fraction behind the first-place 15.29 finish! The Pull4Mac event, which raised $10,000, is the kick-off to McMaster’s annual United Way Campaign. All proceeds donated go to the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton.
