Artsci Students Featured in “Writing Home” Podcast
Original pieces of writing from five current Artsci students are being showcased on the Writing Home podcast. Produced by McMaster’s Writer-in-Residence Janet Rogers, the podcast includes poems, stories, and reflections from Hamilton-based writers on the theme of “home.” Ariella Ruby (Level III), Julia Knez (Level IV), Sharang Sharma (Level II), and Hina Rani (Level III) each had pieces selected for inclusion in the first episode: “Writing Home: The Home Edition.” The piece by Evin Huang (Level III) was selected for inclusion in the second episode: “Writing Home: The COVID-19 Edition.“
In the first episode, Ariella’s “Window Watcher” can be heard at 11.13. Julia’s two pieces, “I am Canadian” and “Glass Ceiling,” are at 46.51. Sharang’s “Looking Back at Home” is at 48.29. Hina’s “Forty-Two Love Letter” is at 1.09.22. In the second episode, Evin’s piece, “Going Bananas in the In-Between,” can be heard at 1.02.10. You can read more about the podcast in the Daily News.
